The Savannah Pirates of the South Atlantic League ended the 1960 season with a record of 78 wins and 61 losses, finishing third in the SAL.

The Pirates plated 666 runs and allowed 621 runs. Donn Clendenon paced Savannah with 28 home runs, while Charlie Leonard, Elder White and Edward Sada each walloped 15 or more also. Donn Clendenon accounted for 109 RBI and topped all regular batters by hitting .335. Jack Lamabe led the team with 15 wins, and James Hardison registered a 2.97 earned run average, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
