The Stockton Ports of the California League ended the 1980 season with a record of 90 wins and 51 losses, finishing first in the league's North Division.

The Ports led the league with just 551 runs allowed. Stockton scored 705 runs. Bob Skube paced the team with 19 home runs, and Bill Schroeder walloped 15 or more also. Bill Schroeder accounted for 97 RBI. Stan Davis topped all regular hitters by hitting .313. Jaime Cocanower paced the squad with 17 wins, while Jerry Jenkins added 15 or more wins, too Mike Madden recorded a 1.95 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Willie Lozado, Jaime Cocanower, Bob Skube, Andy Beene, Bob Gibson, Mike Madden, Doug Jones and Bill Schroeder were all players from the 1980 Stockton Ports who played in the Majors during their careers.
