The Stockton Ports of the California League ended the 1980 season with a record of 90 wins and 51 losses, finishing first in the league's North Division.

Bill Schroeder accounted for 97 RBI. Stan Davis topped all regular hitters by hitting .313. Jaime Cocanower paced the squad with 17 wins, while Jerry Jenkins added 15 or more wins, too Mike Madden recorded a 1.95 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
