The Salt Lake Stingers of the Pacific Coast League ended the 2004 season with a record of 56 wins and 88 losses, finishing fourth in the league's North Division of the Pacific Conference.

The Stingers scored 785 runs and allowed 900 runs, most in the circuit. Adam Riggs paced Salt Lake with 29 home runs, while Dallas McPherson and Brian Gordon walloped 15 or more, too. Adam Riggs drove in 90 runs and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .331 clip. Chris Bootcheck led the squad with 11 wins and a team-best 5.13 earned run average, tops among regularly-used pitchers.
