The Saskatoon Stallions of the Prairie League ended the 1997 season with a record of 38 wins and 28 losses, finishing second in the league's Northern Division.

The Stallions scored 384 runs and allowed 372 runs. Andre Johnson led Saskatoon with 22 home runs and drove in 71 runs, while leading all regular hitters by connecting at a .358 clip. Ernie Nieves topped the squad with 10 wins and a team-best 2.46 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.
