The Tucson Sidewinders of the Pacific Coast League ended the 2005 season with a record of 68 wins and 76 losses, finishing third in the league's South Division of the Pacific Conference.

The Sidewinders scored 790 runs and surrendered 753 runs. Carlos Quentin led Tucson with 21 home runs, while Brian Barden, Andy Green and Scott Hairston each walloped 15 or more, too. Carlos Quentin accounted for 89 RBI. Andy Green paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .343 clip. Édgar González topped the squad with 11 wins and a team-best 4.37 earned run average, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
