The Trenton Thunder of the Eastern League ended the 2012 season with a record of 79 wins and 63 losses, finishing first in the league's Eastern Division.

The Thunder scored 653 runs and gave up 619 runs. Luke Murton led Trenton with 25 home runs, while Zoilo Almonte, Addison Maruszak and Cody Johnson each walloped 15 or more as well. Zoilo Almonte drove in 70 runs and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .277. Brett Marshall paced the squad with 13 wins, and Vidal Nuño recorded a 2.45 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
