The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers of the Midwest League ended the 2005 season with a record of 76 wins and 63 losses, finishing first in the league's West Division.

The Timber Rattlers plated 788 runs and allowed 790 runs, most in the league. Mike Wilson paced Wisconsin with 19 home runs, and Marshall Hubbard walloped 15 or more also. Mike Wilson drove in 84 runs. Brent Johnson led all regular batters by hitting .310. Aaron Jensen topped the squad with 10 wins, while Jason Snyder recorded a 4.82 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Oswaldo Navarro, Asdrúbal Cabrera, Matt Tuiasosopo, Mike Wilson, Eric O'Flaherty, Mark Lowe, Rob Johnson and Jeff Clement were all players from the 2005 Wisconsin Timber Rattlers who played in the Majors during their careers.
