The Wilson Tobs of the Carolina League ended the 1962 season with a record of 65 wins and 75 losses, finishing fifth in the CL.

The Tobs scored 561 runs, worst in the league, and allowed 620 runs. Roberto Tano led Wilson with 16 home runs and drove in 58 runs. Carmelo Mesa and Bill Tomb paced hitters with significant playing time with a .251 average. Pete Cimino, George Miller and Jerry Fosnow topped the squad with 12 wins each, while Jim Roland recorded a 1.98 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.

Pete Cimino, Chuck Coles, Jerry Fosnow, Frank Quilici, Jim Roland, Bunky Stewart, Ted Uhlaender and Bill Whitby were all players from the 1962 Wilson Tobs who played in the Majors during their careers.
