Tsutomu Wakamatsu recorded 74 runs batted in and topped all regular hitters by hitting .312. Hiromu Matsuoka paced the team with 17 wins, while Keishi Asano recorded a 2.39 ERA, best among regular hurlers.

Roger Repoz played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Yakult Swallows to do so.
