The Carlsbad Potashes of the Sophomore League ended the 1960 season with a record of 66 wins and 64 losses, finishing third in the SL.

The Potashes scored 811 runs and allowed 780 runs. Lewis Bishop led Carlsbad with 23 home runs and drove in 92 runs, while leading all regular batters by connecting at a .330 clip. Gary McCabe topped the team with 15 wins and a team-best 3.68 ERA, best among regular hurlers.

Billy Ott played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Carlsbad Potashes to do so.

Rube Walker served as manager.
