The Decatur Commodores of the Midwest League ended the 1959 season with a record of 63 wins and 61 losses, finishing third in the MWL.

The Commodores scored 675 runs and yielded 665 runs. Al Baker paced Decatur with 14 home runs and recorded 66 runs batted in. Frank Jaciuk led hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .302 clip. Joel McDaniel topped the squad with 22 wins and a team-best 2.33 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.

Stubby Overmire and Andy Kosco both played in Major League Baseball during their careers.
