The Idaho Falls Russets of the Pioneer League ended the 1961 season with a record of 67 wins and 63 losses, finishing third in the PL.

The Russets scored 744 runs and gave up 749 runs. Jim Hicks led Idaho Falls with 21 home runs and recorded 100 runs batted in. Tommy McCraw paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .327 clip. Ronald Pearson and Lee Featherstone topped the squad with 13 wins each, while Lee Featherstone registered a 3.7 earned run average, tops among regular hurlers.
