1959 Lincoln Chiefs Roster

The Lincoln Chiefs of the Illinois-Iowa-Indiana League ended the 1959 season with a record of 58 wins and 68 losses, finishing fifth in the IIIL.

The Chiefs scored 661 runs and surrendered 724 runs, most in the circuit. Mike Hershberger led Lincoln with 12 home runs Jim Lynn recorded 91 runs batted in and topped batters with significant playing time by hitting .300. Alan Brice paced the squad with 12 wins, while Ronald Bloodworth earned a 4.09 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.

Alan Brice, Joe Horlen, Jerry McNertney, Mike Hershberger, Fritz Ackley, Deacon Jones and Joe Hoerner were all players from the 1959 Lincoln Chiefs who played in the Majors during their careers.

Ira Hutchinson served as manager.
