Ponce de Leon Park I

Location: Atlanta, GA
650 Ponce De Leon Avenue & Lakeview Avenue (3B), across from the large Ponce De Leon Amusement Park.
Capacity: 8,426 opening day crowd
Opened May 23, 1907. Built for $60,000 in 1906 and rebuilt in 1923 after a fire at a cost of $250,000. The LF boundary was a two-foot hedge. The large grandstand extended far down the RF line; a large bleacher section sat in LF. The ballpark, constructed of wood, burned down on Sept. 9, 1923. The catcher faced NE.
