Monroe Park

Location: Mobile, AL
Madea Street next to the RR tracks, near the Mobile Bay.
Capacity: 7,000 est
A large grandstand, rebuilt after a September 2, 1919 fire, flanked by bleachers extending down both foul lines provided extensive seating. The catcher apparently faced north. Trolley car shops bordered on RCF. Just beyond the trolley car barn recreational facilities, including rides and a dance pavilion. The ball field was within the park, which still exists today.
