Holman Stadium and field house were built in 1937 with WPA funds, augmented by $60,000 from Charles Frank Holman. He dedicated the new sports facilities with a trust in his will to the youth and people of Nashua, in honor of his parents. His father had been elected mayor in 1878. The field featured a beautiful wooded setting, and a brick entrance, with additional brickwork marking the end of the bleachers along both baselines.
