Johnstone Park

Also Known As: Base Ball Park 1906-1910
Location: Bartlesville, OK
Johnston Park, Bartles Road (State Highway 123).
Capacity: 550 opening day 1908; 9,000 (1910)
The park was enclosed by a 7-foot fence. The "base ball park" had grandstand and bleacher sections along both base lines. The later park showed a smaller grandstand and only one bleacher section, along the 1B line. The catcher faced NE. Park Drive now runs where the old grandstand sat. The ballpark area was incorporated into a public park. A 1927 map shows the same configuration, in an increasingly industrialized and commercial area.
