Watkins Field
Also Known As: Athletic Park 1912-1913Location: Port Huron, MI
South end of town along the St. Clair River at 24th & Moak Streets.
Capacity: 1,000 largest crowd; 3,200 (1922)
The park was named for William H. Watkins, a minor league mogul who managed Detroit in 1887. The main grandstand is believed to have been in the NW corner of the site; the catcher would thus have probably faced SE. The site is now a factory parking lot.
