League Park I

Location: Akron, OH
Beaver & Carroll Streets.
The first League Park was torn down, and the site became The Summit Growers Market Company. Waste Management of Ohio now occupies the site. The LF fence was built on an angle so that wooden supports would hold it up. The slope ranged from 35 to 60 degrees, many outfielders had to run up the wooden fence to catch fly balls. If a batted ball rolled over the fence it was a ground-rule double.
Used by: Akron Acorns, Akron Akrons, Akron Summits, Akron Rubbernecks, Akron Champs, Akron Rubbermen, Akron Giants, Akron Buckeyes
