Armory Park

Location: Toledo, OH
Armory (LF) & Orange Street at Speilbusch (3B) Avenue & Beech Street.

Opened May 29, 1897, the park featured LCF fence that detoured around the Gas Tank, which contained natural gas. The 60-foot brick Armory formed the LF wall. Ball hit over the RF wall were ground-rule doubles. The catcher faced NE. The AL Detroit Tigers played one game August 16,1903 here. Armory Street does not exist anymore. City Hall is 100 yards from the site.
