Western League Park

Also Known As: Boulevard Park
Location: Detroit, MI
On Champlain, between E. Grand Boulevard & Helen.
Capacity: 3,400
The catcher faced NW. The site was a poor choice for a ballpark. The distances down the foul lines were so short that a second set of foul poles was erected in back of the fences. A ball that cleared the fence but landed between the two poles was a ground rule double. The field had no grass, the entire field was hard clay.
