The Minnesota Twins of the American League ended the 1965 season with a record of 102 wins and 60 losses, finishing first in the AL.

The Twins led the league with 774 runs. Minnesota allowed 600 runs. Harmon Killebrew paced the squad with 25 home runs, while Tony Oliva, Bob Allison, Zoilo Versalles, Jimmie Hall and Don Mincher each walloped 20 or more as well. Tony Oliva drove in 98 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .321. Mudcat Grant paced the squad with 21 wins, and Jim Kaat as well added 15 or more victories as well Jim Perry earned a 2.63 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.

Sam Mele coached the team. The 1965 Minnesota Twins won the League Championship Series.
