The BC Lions of the Canadian Football League ended the 1988 season with a record of 10 wins and 8 losses for 20 points, finishing third in the CFL's West Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 2-1.

The Lions ran up 489 points, and the defense conceded 417. Matt Dunigan directed the offense, slinging for 3,776 yards. David Williams grabbed 83 passes for 1,468 yards.

Tony Cherry carried the ball for a team-leading 889 yards for BC, and Anthony Parker also aided the ground game.

The sticky-fingered defense led the way with 76 turnovers, best in the league. Andre Francis and Keith Gooch each seized 7 opponent throws. Mack Moore topped the defensive unit with 11 quarterback sacks.

Larry Donovan coached the team. The 1988 BC Lions lost in the Grey Cup.
