Saskatchewan racked up 547 points, while the leaky defense conceded 567, most in the league. Kent Austin tossed for 2,650 yards, and Tom Burgess took a significant amount of snaps, too. Don Narcisse hauled in 81 receptions for 1,419 yards. Timmy McCray was targeted regularly also.

Timmy McCray ran for a team-high 1,285 yards for the Roughriders.

Albert Brown picked off 8 errant tosses from the opposition. Bobby Jurasin and James Curry each topped the defensive unit with 16 quarterback sacks, topping a defense credited with 66 sacks.

John Gregory coached the team. The 1989 Saskatchewan Roughriders won the Grey Cup.
