The Blue Bombers chalked up 554 points, and the defensive squad gave up 409. Tom Clements directed the offense, throwing for 4,686 yards. James Murphy led the receiving corps, catching 84 balls, while Perry Tuttle contributed 1,310 receiving yards. Jeff Boyd contributed to the receiving game as well.

Willard Reaves rushed for a team-high 1,471 yards for Winnipeg.

The ball-hawking defense pounced on 82 turnovers. Roy Bennett picked off 13 opponent throws. Tyrone Jones topped the defensive unit with 15 quarterback sacks, topping a defense credited with 66 sacks.

Mike Riley coached the team. The 1987 Winnipeg Blue Bombers lost in the Division Final.
