The Oilers netted 298 points, but the leaky defense gave up 429, most in the league. George Blanda passed for 2,542 yards. Ode Burrell hauled in 55 passes, while Charley Frazier added 717 receiving yards. Charley Hennigan provided receiving help also.
Ode Burrell ran for a team-leading 528 yards for Houston.
W.K. Hicks picked off 9 errant tosses from the opposition.
