The Giants scored 263 points, but the shaky defensive squad allowed 501, most in the circuit. Gary Wood passed for 1,142 yards, and Earl Morrall spent time under center, too. Homer Jones topped pass catchers, hauling in 48 passes for 1,044 yards. Aaron Thomas and Joe Morrison provided receiving help as well.
Chuck Mercein ran for a team-leading 327 yards for New York, while Allen Jacobs and Joe Morrison additionally aided the ground game.
Spider Lockhart intercepted 6 errant tosses from the opposition.
