Warren Moon passed for 2,382 yards, and Tom Wilkinson spent time under center, too. Waddell Smith snagged 74 passes for 1,214 yards, while Brian Kelly contributed to the receiving game also.

Jim Germany ran for a team-best 1,324 yards.

The opportunistic defense pounced on 55 turnovers. Larry Highbaugh intercepted 10 errant tosses from the opposition.

Hugh Campbell coached the team. The 1979 Edmonton Eskimos won the Grey Cup.
