Tommy Ivan compiled a record of 288 wins and 174 losses and 111 ties in his coaching career with the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Black Hawks. He began coaching during the 1947 season and last coached during the 1957 campaign. Ivan was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1974.
