Milt Schmidt compiled a record of 250 wins and 394 losses and 126 ties in his coaching career with the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals. He began coaching during the 1954 season and last coached during the 1975 campaign. Schmidt was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961.
