The Albuquerque Dukes of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1989 season with a record of 80 wins and 62 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Dukes scored 733 runs and gave up 639 runs. Tracy Woodson led Albuquerque with 14 home runs Mike Huff recorded 78 runs batted in and topped all regular hitters by connecting at a .318 clip. Jeff Fischer paced the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 3.47 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
