The Atlantic City Surf of the Atlantic League ended the 1999 season with a record of 61 wins and 58 losses, finishing second in the AL.

The Surf plated 697 runs and conceded 738 runs, most in the league. Rubén Sierra paced Atlantic City with 28 home runs, while Juan Rocha, Emison Soto and Héctor Villanueva each walloped 15 or more also. Rubén Sierra drove in 82 runs and topped batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .294 clip. Jimmy Williams led the squad with 13 wins, and Rafael Montalvo registered a 3.9 earned run average, leading hurlers with significant time on the mound.
