The Atlantic City Surf of the Atlantic League ended the 2000 season with a record of 61 wins and 78 losses, finishing second in the league's South Division.

The Surf plated 726 runs and allowed 792 runs. Héctor Villanueva walloped 38 home runs for Atlantic City, while Keith Gordon, George West and Will Pennyfeather each added 15 or more also. Héctor Villanueva recorded 95 runs batted in and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .309 clip. Bubba Hardwick led the squad with 12 wins, and Apolinar Garcia registered a 3.93 earned run average, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
