The Atlantic City Surf of the Atlantic League ended the 2005 season with a record of 80 wins and 60 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Surf scored 773 runs and allowed 722 runs. Ozzie Timmons walloped 31 home runs for Atlantic City, while Rayner Bautista, Dario Delgado and Al Benjamin each swatted 15 or more also. Dario Delgado drove in 96 runs and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .321 clip. Anthony Chavez led the team with 15 wins and a team-best 4.53 earned run average, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Members of the 2005 Atlantic City Surf who played in Major League Baseball during their careers were Jimmy Hurst, Mike Rivera, Greg Burke, Marty Janzen, Anthony Chavez, Tom Goodwin, Eduardo Villacis, Melvin Rosario, Dan Reichert and Ozzie Timmons.
