The Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League ended the 2017 season with a record of 68 wins and 70 losses, finishing fourth in the league's South Division.

The Tourists led the league with 660 runs, ignited by 115 home runs. Asheville allowed 631 runs. Vince Fernandez paced the team with 16 home runs, and Jacob Bosiokovic walloped 15 or more also. Willie Abreu drove in 78 runs and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .283 clip. Antonio Santos paced the squad with 9 wins, while Alejandro Requena earned a 2.85 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Members of the 2017 Asheville Tourists who played in Major League Baseball during their careers were Tyler Nevin, Bryan Baker, Riley Pint, J. D. Hammer, Brian Serven, Colton Welker, Antonio Santos, Justin Lawrence, Julian Fernández and Rico Garcia.
