The Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League ended the 2016 season with a record of 66 wins and 72 losses, finishing fifth in the league's South Division.

The Tourists plated 657 runs and allowed 710 runs. Brendan Rodgers paced Asheville with 19 home runs, and Sam Hilliard walloped 15 or more, too. Sam Hilliard and Brian Mundell each drove in 83 runs. Brian Mundell led batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .313 clip. Trey Killian topped the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 3.88 ERA, leading hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Justin Lawrence, Peter Lambert, Jesús Tinoco, Joshua Fuentes, Brendan Rodgers, Ben Bowden, Yonathan Daza and Sam Hilliard were all players from the 2016 Asheville Tourists who played in the Majors during their careers.

Warren Schaeffer served as manager.
