The Batavia Pirates of the New York-Pennsylvania League ended the 1965 season with a record of 47 wins and 75 losses, finishing sixth in the NYPL.

The Pirates scored 621 runs and allowed 720 runs, most in the circuit. George Lott led Batavia with 19 home runs Johnny Jeter drove in 69 runs. George Lott paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .308, and Lou Marone and Sidney Joyner topped the team with 6 wins each, while Wayne White recorded a 3.59 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Gene Garber, Woodie Fryman, Lou Marone, Johnny Jeter, Greg Sims, Ron Slocum and Manny Sanguillen were all players from the 1965 Batavia Pirates who played in the Majors during their careers.
