The Batavia Trojans of the New York-Pennsylvania League ended the 1977 season with a record of 42 wins and 28 losses, finishing first in the league's West Division.

The Trojans led the league with 430 runs, spearheaded by 88 home runs. Batavia allowed 300 runs. Tim Glass paced the team with 21 home runs, while Venson Davis and Sal Rende walloped 15 or more also. Sal Rende recorded 60 runs batted in and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .356. Norm Churchill and Ronnie Arp paced the squad with 8 wins each, and Ronnie Arp recorded a 2.33 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.
