The Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Midwest League ended the 2018 season with a record of 77 wins and 62 losses, finishing second in the league's Western Division.

The Kernels scored 665 runs and yielded 526 runs. Alex Kirilloff and José Miranda paced Cedar Rapids with 13 home runs apiece. José Miranda drove in 72 runs and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster with a .277 average. Randy Dobnak led the squad with 10 wins and a team-best 3.14 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
