The Chattanooga Lookouts of the Southern Association ended the 1954 season with a record of 75 wins and 76 losses, finishing fifth in the SA.

The Lookouts topped the league with just 666 runs allowed. Chattanooga scored 670 runs, worst in the league,. Bruce Barmes led batters with significant playing time with a .318 average. Jim Pearce paced the team with 17 wins, while Bill Currie, too added 15 or more wins, too Jerry Lane recorded a 2.97 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.

Bobo Holloman, Hal Griggs, Dick Hyde, Bruce Barmes, Larry Ciaffone, Bill Currie, Don Grate, Jim Pearce, Jerry Lane, Gene Verble, Roy Dietzel, Bob Ross, Roy Hawes, Frank Campos, Frank Sacka, Tony Roig, Dan Porter and Cholly Naranjo were all players from the 1954 Chattanooga Lookouts who played in the Majors during their careers.

Cal Ermer served as manager.
