The Chattanooga Lookouts of the Southern League ended the 1999 season with a record of 78 wins and 62 losses, finishing second in the league's West Division.

The Lookouts scored 765 runs and allowed 682 runs. Brady Clark and Tom Nevers paced Chattanooga with 17 home runs apiece. Brady Clark drove in 75 runs and topped batters with significant playing time with a .326 average. Jim Crowell led the squad with 10 wins, while Scott MacRae recorded a 4.43 ERA, tops among regular hurlers.
