Irving Clark paced Des Moines with 13 home runs Richard Haines accounted for 57 RBI and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .355 clip. Ray Culp led the team with 6 wins, while Harry Oliver recorded a 3.57 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Aubrey Gatewood, Gary Kroll, Bob Spicer, Ray Culp, Pat Corrales, Jesse Hickman, John Morris, Bill Heath and Hank Allen were all players from the 1961 Des Moines Demons who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
