The Delmarva Shorebirds of the South Atlantic League ended the 2003 season with a record of 67 wins and 71 losses, finishing fifth in the league's Northern Division.

The Shorebirds scored 562 runs and yielded 586 runs. Randy Ruiz led Delmarva with 11 home runs and drove in 51 runs. Rafael Diaz paced hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .266 clip. John Maine, Ryan Keefer and Jayme Sperring topped the team with 7 wins each, while Daniel Cabrera registered a 4.24 earned run average, best among regular hurlers.
