The Delmarva Shorebirds of the South Atlantic League ended the 2016 season with a record of 73 wins and 66 losses, finishing fourth in the league's North Division.
The Shorebirds plated 548 runs and surrendered 534 runs. Alex Murphy paced Delmarva with 16 home runs and drove in 63 runs. Ryan Mountcastle topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .281 clip. Cristian Alvarado and Brian Gonzalez led the squad with 10 wins each, while Brian Gonzalez registered a 2.51 earned run average, leading qualifying pitchers.
