The Delmarva Shorebirds of the South Atlantic League ended the 2017 season with a record of 59 wins and 78 losses, finishing seventh in the league's North Division.
The Shorebirds scored 544 runs and surrendered 613 runs. Gerrion Grim led Delmarva with 17 home runs Preston Palmeiro accounted for 77 RBI. Cole Billingsley paced all regular batters by connecting at a .282 clip. Alex Wells topped the squad with 11 wins and a team-best 2.38 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.
