The Edmonton Trappers of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1982 season with a record of 70 wins and 74 losses, finishing fourth in the league's North Division.

The Trappers plated 886 runs and allowed 902 runs, most in the circuit. Ron Kittle crushed 50 homers for Edmonton, while Dom Fucci and Lorenzo Gray walloped 15 or more also. Ron Kittle drove in 144 runs. Lorenzo Gray led all regular batters by connecting at a .358 clip. Reggie Patterson topped the team with 14 wins, and Jim Siwy earned a 4.05 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
