The Crawdads plated 596 runs and allowed 672 runs. Michael Carlin paced Hickory with 16 home runs Neil Walker drove in 68 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .301. Julio Guerrero led the team with 7 wins, while Matt Guillory recorded a 2.64 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Jairo Asencio, Rómulo Sánchez, Steven Lerud, Matt Capps, Dave Davidson, Brian Bixler and Neil Walker were all players from the 2005 Hickory Crawdads who played in the Majors during their careers.
