The Kane County Cougars of the Midwest League ended the 2009 season with a record of 76 wins and 64 losses, finishing third in the league's Western Division.

The Cougars plated 598 runs and yielded 585 runs. Grant Desme paced Kane County with 11 home runs Franklin Hernandez recorded 53 runs batted in. Jeremy Barfield topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .262 clip. Pedro Figueroa led the squad with 10 wins, while Kenny Smalley recorded a 2.74 ERA, leading hurlers with significant time on the mound.
