The Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League ended the 2006 season with a record of 73 wins and 53 losses, finishing second in the league's North Division.

The Ducks scored 702 runs, best in the league. Long Island conceded 618 runs. Bucky Jacobsen led the team with 21 home runs and accounted for 89 RBI. Mel Stocker paced batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .303 clip. Pat Ahearne topped the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 3.48 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
