The Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League ended the 2008 season with a record of 71 wins and 69 losses, finishing second in the league's Liberty Division.

The Ducks tallied 769 runs and yielded 796 runs. Carl Everett paced Long Island with 29 home runs, while Pete Rose, Ray Navarrete and Damian Rolls each walloped 15 or more, too. Ray Navarrete drove in 103 runs. Carl Everett led all regular batters by connecting at a .327 clip. Randy Leek topped the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 3.66 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
